The increase in the number of universities and graduates in Indonesia is not in line with job growth, causing tight competition and high unemployment rates, especially among educated workers. This study analyzes the effect of the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT), Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP), and Average Length of Schooling (RLS) on the number of educated workers in the Sumbagsel region (Lampung, South Sumatra, Bengkulu, Jambi, and Bangka Belitung) during the period 2018-2023. The method used is panel data regression with a quantitative approach. The results of the study show that UMP has a significant positive effect on the number of educated workers, while RLS has a significant negative effect. TPT does not show a significant effect on the number of educated workers. Simultaneously, these three variables have a significant effect on the number of educated workers. This study provides important insights for policy makers in formulating strategies to improve the quality of the workforce, taking into account the context of Islamic economics that emphasizes justice and blessings in economic activities. These findings indicate the need for adjustments in education planning to better suit the needs of the labor market, in order to reduce unemployment among higher education graduates.
